On Purpose, a book celebrating leadership with a cause. Proceeds from this book fund the On Purpose Scholarship, a fund of The Orange County Community Foundation, which will provide financial assistance to select Orange County high school seniors already making great strides within our community.
The On Purpose coffee table book, published in November 2011, features some of Orange County’s most accomplished leaders who are community advocates for great causes, services or education that better our community who have been nominated and invited for their causes to be featured in this groundbreaking fund raising book. This book showcases these leaders and their causes with the aim of educating and inspiring our community and the leaders of tomorrow. A few of the high school seniors who have already been awarded scholarships are featured in the opening pages inside this book along with some of Orange County’s history in philanthropy accompanied by historical photos courtesy of First American Financial Corporation.
To achieve the mission of making this book a reality, a team of Orange County professionals, dedicated to making a positive impact in our community, donated their talents and time to create, design, promote, distribute and develop the “On Purpose” book that will artistically feature great causes within our community championed by some of OC’s business leaders. Leading the way was Sheri Geoffreys.
Sheri’s passion to inspire and create by making a positive impact in our world fueled the vision of this project. Many Orange County business leaders are passionate philanthropists and leaders who make such a positive impact in our community. Bringing some of them together along with their charities to create On Purpose seemed like the perfect way to use her talents and strengths to create a piece that truly represented a part of Orange County’s compassionate and philanthropic side, educate the community on great causes, inspire others, perpetuate giving back and raise money for The On Purpose Scholarship Fund she founded, a fund of The Orange County Community Foundation, fostering our future philanthropic leaders.
